Character Information
Character Name: Dimitri Belikov
Canon: Vampire Academy
Canon Point: “Last Sacrifice,” end of Chapter 6
Is your character Dead, Undead or Alive: This is actually…tricky. Dimitri is a Dhampir, which makes him half human and half vampire. His father is a Moroi, or a living vampire. Dimitri was killed in action, and then revived as an undead Strigoi. He has since been restored by spirit magic, returning him to his Dhampir state. So, in his lifetime, he has been alive, dead, and undead. Currently he is likely considered alive, but feel free to put him wherever you like.
History: Wikia Link
Personality:
The first impression most people get from Dimitri is that, although handsome enough for his looks to be described as ‘god-like,’ he’s somewhat anti-social, stoic, and likes to keep to himself. Further investigation would reveal that these traits are a part of his deep commitment to his duty as a Guardian. In his canon, Guardians are trained for the specific purpose of guarding Moroi, which are ‘good’ vampires. They have the ability to use magic and do not kill people to survive. They are also weaker than dhampirs, which are half-human, half-vampire. Dimitri grew up the way nearly all dhampir do; with the constant mantra that dhampir protect the Moroi, and that to do anything else is close to blasphemy.
Dimitri comes from a somewhat large immediate family, of which he is the only male. Growing up, it was expected that, as a male, he would become a Guardian, while his sisters would raise children. It’s what his mother did when she had her first child, and it was simply the way he was raised. Dimitri never saw this as a burden, however, and has always taken his job seriously and had done incredibly well at it.
As such, his honor and his commitment to his duty is one of the most important things to him. He attempts to stay away from the love of his life, Rose, because they are supposed to be destined to guard the same vampire, and he knows he has to be able to protect his assignment before her. If they are in love, he’s not sure he’ll be able to do that. He eventually fails in this task, but he knows that in order for their relationship to continue, he’ll need a different assignment, because he refuses to ignore his duty.
Most people also find Dimitri to be incredibly intimidating, though this is mostly because of his sheer size. He’s made of rock hard muscle, and at 6’7”, he’s generally much taller than your average person. His abilities as a fighter are also well known, along with his ability to remain cool under pressure, and only add to his fierceness and reputation.
For those that spend enough time with him and gain his love, Dimitri proves to be incredibly gentle, loving, and even romantic. He can be sometimes a bit harsh when he disagrees with Rose, but love is always the reason behind his words, and he always means well. He’s usually even right, and likes to provide otherwise with words of wisdom. Indeed, he is much more mature than your typical 24 year old, as he’s something of an ‘old soul.’ This is in part due to all of the difficult things he’s seen; a Guardian tends to have to grow up much faster than a normal human would, or they won’t survive for long. Their lives are hard and dangerous, and oftentimes rather short, so this isn’t particularly surprising.
Despite him being seemingly unshakable and calm at all times, Dimitri is actually just a near master of control. Inside, he is an incredibly emotional and intense person; he’s just had to learn how to control those things so that he can be as effective as possible. Only very rarely does Dimitri’s temper explode, and when he does it always involves someone he loves very much. For example, he lost control when he was 13; his father, a Moroi lord, was abusive towards his mother, and Dimitri finally snapped and beat the crap out of him. Rose has also been able to bring out his less controlled side with some of her more snarky comments, but that’s because he allows himself to relax some around her.
This is also related to his intense protective streak, as his calm demeanor seems to dissipate most quickly when he feels he needs to protect a loved one. Rose is usually at the receiving end of this protectiveness, and he has one several occasions put himself in harm’s way to help or save her.
During the series, Dimitri is turned into a Strigoi, or an undead vampire, during a battle. As a Strigoi, Dimitri’s personality changed immensely. He was incredibly cold and calculating, cared very little for the lives of others, and enjoyed toying with and controlling people. He had high aspirations of taking over the powerful group he joined during his time as a Strigoi, and even succeeded. He was violent, sadistic, abusive and uncaring, as well as intensely obsessed with Rose.
After Rose’s best friend, Lissa, was able to return Dimitri to his original dhampir state, his personality shifted again. At first, he was incredibly dependent upon Lissa, whom he saw as his savior. He seems himself as being incapable of love, partially because he thinks he’s incapable of the emotion after being undead, and partially because he no longer thinks he deserves it. He questions his own morality often, because despite not being himself when he was a Strigoi, he still has the memories of doing terrible things, and the guilt, shame and despair of knowing how much he’s hurt people has been incredible debilitating. He pushes Rose away because he can barely stand to look at her after what he did while he basically held her hostage.
It doesn’t end his protectiveness of her, however, and his care for her is proven when he helps break her out of prison to help prove her innocence. He’s slowly but surely remembering what it was like to be himself, though it’s an arduous process, one that Rose both helps and hampers at times. (Thought, let’s be serious, it more of the former.)
Abilities, Strengths and Weaknesses:
Dhampirs are faster and stronger than humans and Moroi, though not on as supernatural a level as Strigoi. They are resistant to compulsion in comparison to humans, and also do not generally get typical human illnesses. They heal quicker than normal, and can take more physical damage. Nearly all of them have had extensive physical training, and are incredible fighters with both melee weapons and hand-to-hand combat. Dimitri is even more prestigious than most Dhampir, making him an incredibly formidable fighter.
Due to the fact that he is was formerly Strigoi and was restored by spirit magic, he cannot be turned again. The process would simply kill him instead.
Dhampirs do not have any of the weaknesses that vampires suffer from. His current weaknesses are all mental in nature; he’s currently suffering for a large amount of guilt over the things he has done while Strigoi. This pain is sometimes crippling, and he is susceptible to mental breakdowns, believing himself to be a monster who should never be forgiven. His other greatest weakness is Rose; if she were in danger, he would literally throw himself in front of bullets to save her. Though he would not be entirely reckless, still attempting to formulate a plan if possible, he would gladly give his life to save hers, and is far more impulsive than normal where she is concerned.

Network/Action Spam Sample:
This could not have happened at a worse time.
[He needed to track down Rose, had been about to chase after her, into the forest.
Instead, the world had gone dark, and he’d woken up here.
I need to speak with who is in charge. I don’t have time for this. I’m needed elsewhere.
[He’s all business, sounding self-assured, even if he’s anything but. What would he even tell them? He’s not sure, but he can’t stay here. Rose thinks she can help her friends, but she can’t. Not by acting rashly, and certainly not by running off on her own.
Not that he’d expected anything different, really. He should have seen it coming. Leave it to her to do the one thing that could catch him off guard.]
Rose. Sydney. If you’re here, please let me know.
[The instruction is deliberate and intense, but that’s all he says before he ends communication.]

Hopefully this works. There’s brackets but the writing is essentially still tl;dr prose.
Otherwise I have this, where we switch to prose after two replies.
